Our congratulations go to Mrs White and her husband who are expecting their first child in May. Harvest Festival, 6 OctoberMany thanks to you all for your generosity in contributing so much to our Harvest collection. All the food gifts were donated to the Broadway Centre on the Goldhawk Road (over 250 lunches are provided for the homeless every day). Flowers, chocolates and pot plants were taken by the girls to the Nazareth Nursing Home for the Elderly on Hammersmith Road, where they were received with delight by the residents. The animal food was collected by Blue Cross for distribution to their centres in West London. They are most grateful for the generous donation you all made. Operation Christmas Child180 wrapped Christmas boxes have been brought in so far. Please continue to bring them in if you would like to. They will be collected on 27 November for distribution to disadvantaged children abroad. Individual PhotographsThe photographers will be coming to school on 16 November. Your daughter will be photographed individually and if you have more than one daughter at Bute House they will be photographed as a family group as well. We hope that these photographs will make extra special Christmas presents for family and friends. "Pinocchio", (Year 4), 15 and 16 November

A big ‘thank you' to everyone who made birthday cards for Bute House. We collected £422.20 at the door for a charity which will be chosen by the children later in the year. The theme for Charity Day was "Fame" and everyone came dressed up as a famous Christmas Tree
On Tuesday 28 November the Christmas Tree will be up in the entrance hall for the girls to decorate. New girls should bring in a special named ornament to put on the tree among those brought in by pupils in previous years. Every child then has one decoration to be admired and shared by us all. "Old" girls' ornaments will be displayed on tables for your Christmas Fair, 29 NovemberPlease sign out your daughter from her classroom at 1.30 pm and supervise her during the Fair. Her teacher must know that she has been collected and by whom. With less than two weeks to go to the Christmas Fair we all look forward to a great afternoon for children and parents alike. There are some wonderful stalls lined up to provide entertainment and the opportunity for all to purchase gifts. The House Committee members are working hard to make the occasion fun and successful. Please continue to bring in contributions for the children's raffle, children's tombola, CD and bookstall. Home-baked goods should be brought in on the morning of the Fair. Please label any baked items with a brief description eg Lemon cake/Carrot cake and specify if they contain nuts or any nut ingredients. Thanks to everyone who has already contributed to the various stalls. All donations are very much appreciated and help us to create an event that is enjoyed by all.
