The Design Arts Department is a combination of Art and Design Technology. All the girls are taught in spacious, light, airy, purpose-designed rooms.  In addition to this, the classes are divided into two groups, which enables them to be taught by specialist teachers in small groups of ten. From Reception through to Year 4, Art and Design Technology are taught on alternate weeks to each group. In Years 5 and 6, the girls change subjects half way through the year, covering Art for six months and DT for the other six months. As the girls acquire skills and knowledge they gain the confidence to express their creativity and individuality, to explore different media and to experiment with different techniques.
